The Statue of Independence is located in Dataran Keris, Alor Gajah. This monument marks the place where the readings of the 'proclamation' of the Independence of the Federation of Malaya. The Statue of Independence is located on the open stage of the Dataran Keris.

In May 1829, England attacked Naning for the 2nd time. Although England won the war, many of his soldiers were killed by George Holford Walker along with his horse and dog buried in Alor Gajah. The British army grave located in the center of Alor Gajah City is a historical proof of Naning's opposition to the British invasion

Distribution of heritage buildings in the city of Alor Gajah is located at Jalan Besar Alor Gajah. This old building was built between 1932 and 1936. Alor Gajah is a very attractive town in terms of urban governance as all this row of shophouses is facing the Dataran Keris . Alor Gajah town is also surrounded by indigenous traditional villages, especially villages along the route from Alor Gajah city center to Melaka and Tampin.

The museum features a variety of antiques, traditional, old agricultural equipment, a collection pictures of local figures and ancient weapons used by the old Malay community especially Minangkabau. The museum is located in the Dataran Keris, which shows the traditional culture and clothing of Alor Gajah Malay society which is influenced by Minang and Naning culture. The identity of this museum is based on traditional Malay houses
